Makes 10 servings
• 10 Large Rome or McIntosh Apples
• ¾ cup Orange Juice
• 2 Teaspoons cinnamon
• ½ Teaspoon grated nutmeg
• ½ Cup raisins (can substitute dried cherries or cranberries)
• Pinch of salt
Peal apples and cut into quarters. Combine all ingredients in large Dutch oven. Simmer gently until apples fall apart. For smoother applesauce, gently break apple chunks with the back of a fork.
